Avaaz petition launches

Avaaz.org, the global online advocacy group, have just launched their own petition echoing the Chagos Environment Network’s call for the British government to designate a full protected Marine Reserve in the Chagos.
Avaaz has millions of supporters worldwide, and campaigns on a wide range of topics from climate change to human rights abuses. When they heard about the CEN’s Chagos campaign they were sure that it was something their supporters would care about, and it looks like they were right! As of this morning the Avaaz petition has over 120,000 signatures, and is still growing!
